Obituary

Clark Johnson, age 61, of Wayne County, Michigan passed away suddenly on January 10, 2023 at 1:09AM. Clark Johnson was born on April 18, 1961 to his parents, Mary Denney & Hoke Johnson. He was a loving father and Papa. He enjoyed camping, fishing, collecting, and living in Ocala. His family and friends will always remember him as a funny guy with a great sense of humor.

Clark Johnson is survived by his daughter, Christal Johnson; son, Josh Johnson, sisters, Peggie Toustey, Carol Ann, Sue Gordon; brothers, Donny Johnson, Mark Johnson, Bobby Gordon; his 12 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren; uncle to many nieces, nephews, and a great uncle.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Mary Denney; father, Hoke Johnson; daughter, Tasha Johnson; brothers, Jimmy Johnson, Leslie Johnson; and sister, Dorothy Houston.

    My Papa was an amazing man who in a way was like my father figure. Papa taught me a lot about myself, he always made me feel accepted in our crazy family and there is no doubt that I love and miss him very much. Papa always had a way to make people laugh when they were feeling low. Papa always told me that success is a mindset and if you truly believe that you will be successful then it may happen. He always told me to live life in the moment and to find happiness in the small things in life. I didn't have much of a father growing up but it's okay because I had a Papa. I will always remember my last moments with him, he was very happy to see me, but I couldn't help but to cry as he faintly said, "I love you". I have many regrets, but my biggest one is the fact that I hadn't seen him in over 7 years. I wish I spent more time with him while he was still able to talk. I'm doing very well in life, and I hope I can continue to make you proud pops. I'm so sad about your passing but I'm so happy that you are no longer in pain and that you are in a better place. Love you Papa rest in peace.
