Claude “Ray” Beane, Jr., 74, Ormond Beach, FL, passed away on June 19, 2020 after a short illness. Born in 1945 to Claude R. Bean and Estelle Julia Heath Bean.

Ray is a veteran of the Vietnam War, where he earned many medals. He served 20+ years retiring as a First Sergeant.

An avid NASCAR and Harley Davidson enthusiast. Ray could often be found on his bike or skipping commercials to watch the latest recorded race. Ray recently married Angela and they enjoyed the last several months together going to the beach, playing cards and dancing.

Ray is survived by his wife, Angel Beane, his son Del Beane (Katrenia), Arkansas City, KS, daughter Shandra Hatfield (Mike Lauffer), Winfield, KS, daughter Cindy Ward (Keith), Tulsa, OK, his grandchildren Christopher Duncan (Sarah), Justin Swartzell (Vanessa), Christa Ransom, Ashley Hatfield, Brianna Beane, Chase Ward, Grayson Neal, Trinity Clark, Reid Clark, Mason Clark, Bailey Billingsley, Cheyenne Johnson, and Danika McOmber, along with great grandchildren Joshua and Rachelle. Ray also leaves two sisters, LaNora Sparks, Arkansas City, KS and Jeanne Gardner (Robert) Springdale, AR.

Ray is predeceased by his daughter Shelly Beane and his grandsons Jon Duncan and Colt Beane.

A memorial service will take place on Monday, June 29, 2020 at 11:00 AM, with visitation beginning at 10:00 AM at Baldwin Brothers Funeral & Cremation Society, 1185 W. Granada Blvd #11, Ormond Beach, FL 32174.
