Claude Michael Gouge, 68, of Okeechobee, FL died Friday, July 1, 2016 at Legacy House Hospice in Ocala, FL.  He was born November 16, 1947 in Johnson City, Tennessee the son of Sidney Hugh Gouge and Betty Jo (Clayton) Gouge.  He served in the United States Air Force during Vietnam.  He received his associates degree and worked as a welder and pipe-fitter.  He came to central Florida from Tennessee 40 years ago and was an avid fisherman and a lake guide at Lake Okeechobee.  He is survived by his significant other, Fran Hettinger of Ocala, FL;  his mother, Betty Jo Gouge of TN;  one son, Jeff Gouge of TN;  one daughter, Betsy Moston of VA; and by one brother, Mark Gouge of TN.  Also survived by one granddaughter, Shelby Nicole Moston.  Private services to be held in Okeechobee at a later date.
