Obituary

Claudia Jobeth Newbold, 62, of Ocklawaha, FL, passed away on Sunday, March 13, 2022.  Claudia was born in Jacksonville, FL to Mono and June Edwards.  She worked as a receptionist in a medical radiology office.  She liked to read, go to the beach, and enjoy every aspect of the “Lake Life”.  She loved holidays, cooking, family time, and good company.

Claudia is survived by her husband of 30 years, Mike Newbold of Ocklawaha, FL, son Beau Koontz of Ocklawaha, step-son Michael (Shannan) Gilbert of Ocala, 7 grandchildren; Chelsea, Cassidy, Catalina, Ian, Mia, Tatiana, and Eli, 2 great grandchildren; Kinlynn, and Jace, a brother Mickey (Nancy) Edwards of Jacksonville, and several nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held from 3-5pm on Friday, March 25th at Baldwin Brothers Funeral and Cremation Society’s Silver Springs Chapel, 954 E. Silver Springs Blvd, Ocala, FL 34470.

    Claudia was always so respectful and did everything with a smile. Such a beautiful soul every time she walked over to Fl cancer she always left with a joke. You will be missed honey buns!! :)

    Claudia was always friendly, helpful and had so much kindness for me and all those around her. She will be missed by many because she was loved by so many people....including me. Love and prayers to her family.

    Claudia was one of the most amazing persons I have ever known. She was eclectic for sure! She definitely “marched to the beat of her own drum”. We shared a love of food and recipes. I will miss Claudia each and every day. Shine on bright star until I see you again❤️
