    Cliff and Ann were very good friends. When Cozette and I moved to New Smyrna Beach in 1998, they were two of the people at Smyrna Yacht Club that made us feel welcome. Cliff sailed on our boat 'Misty' many Wednesdays with the Old Men of the Sea. Those were good days that we will always remember.

    Cliff and Annie Mearkle were such a great couple. Wether playing canasta with Annie, going on a polka run with the both of them, or enjoying cocktails at their home before the SYC Christmas Ball, they were always fun to be with. True friends are hard to come by so I feel very fortunate and blessed to have known such a loving, caring couple I call “my friends”They are now together and that is where they need to be.

    A cherished couple in our lives. Always remember how welcoming Cliff & Ann were to Terry and I when we joined SYC in 2010. Later on when I became Commodore in 2016 Cliff was there to advise and encourage me along the way. May you be blessed forever. There is a void at SYC. Always, Bob & Terry Stearns

    Ann and Cliff Mearkle were our best friends, and we will miss them so very much. They were a wonderful couple and adored each other. We did so many things together over the years, so thankfully we have great memories and photos to cherish. Their friendship truly enriched our lives!
