Obituary

Colin R. Dodd
1945-2021
The Villages, FL

Colin was born in Stanmore, England at the end of WWII. As a young man in search of better opportunities, he emigrated to the United States and settled in Rochester, NY. In 1970, he married Janet M. De Rycke and raised two children with her while navigating a thirty-five year engineering career with Xerox Corp.

Colin was a social, fun, loving man with a penchant for motorcycle riding, the Buffalo Bills, and classic
rock-and-roll, especially The Who! He had many friends through work, bowling, softball, and golf
leagues. He was a great husband, father, brother, and friend as well as a generous and kind man who
was always willing to lend a hand.

Colin is survived by his Wife, Janet, Daughter, Jennifer, Son, Colin Trevor, two precious Grandsons,
Carson and Logan Dodd, sister, Kay Garrison, as well as several nieces and nephews.

There will be no funeral service. A celebration of life event will be scheduled at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Colin’s name to your favorite, local, animal shelter or Compassionate Care Hospice of Lake Sumter Co., Inc. 304 LaGrande Blvd., The Villages, FL 32159

Colin, you are sorely missed. You are soaring with the Angels and out of pain now that you are free of your earthly body. We were blessed to spend time with you and hold your hand only a few days before you transitioned. We know that you are enjoying a beer while listening to The Who and petting your beloved childhood kitty, Tibby. We share your family's grief. Love you dear Colin.

    Linda and Bob Rubscha
