Obituary
It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Connie Rae Harris, of Largo, Florida, a beloved sister, aunt and cousin, who passed away at the age of 71.
Connie was born in Davenport, Iowa, to Patricia Elgiva Ellen Housley and James Marvin Harris, both of whom preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her sister Tammie Lynn Edie and brother-in-law Gary “Bo” Wolfe.
At the age of 18, Connie set out on her first great adventure, moving to California with two childhood friends. She spent a year exploring and making memories before returning home to Iowa. At 32, Connie moved to Largo, Florida, where she found her forever home.
Connie was an avid reader with a deep passion for travel and discovery. Throughout her life, she journeyed to many places around the world—including France, Italy, Switzerland, Spain, Turkey, Ireland, and more—always seeking out colorful flowers, beautiful architecture, and the richness of new cultures.
Connie will make her final journey home to Davenport, Iowa, where she will be laid to rest.
She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her, especially her sisters Toni Dietz, Kathie Wolfe, and Pamela Gill, sister-cousin Deborah Housley and her many nieces and nephews who cherished her warmth, laughter and adventurous spirit.
“The world is a book, and those who do not travel read only one page.”
— St. Augustine
