Cynthia J. Athas

July 5, 1953-March 20,2020

Cindy was the best mom, sister, wife, & a true warrior. she loved to laugh, loved her family so much & enjoyed cooking.

She will forever be missed. She will be greeted in heaven by her late husband Nick “LA”, mom Rosemary, sister Donna and brother James. Survivors include Timothy Swiger (Suzanne) Donna Bourantanis (Andy) Mark Jackson (Sonda) and Jennifer Ellis (Terry) 10 grandchildren & 5 great grandchildren. 4 sisters, Tina, Rosemarie (Donald), Jeanette, and Deborah, and brother David (Barbara) Many many nieces and nephews.  A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Thank you Hospice care.

    Cindy, I have been looking for your number. I was numb when I read this. I suffered a tramautic brain injury from a car accident years ago. I always thought you'd be there. Soar high my friend and I'm sure you're with my mother and sister...Judy Kelly

    Omg. I can't believe my dear friend is gone. I remember the day she called me about LA it had just happened and she was crying. I thought my heart was heavy then but not as heavy as it is now. It has been a few to many months sense i talk to her. My dear friend i will miss you and love you to the moon and back. With all are love. Dick and judy fraser.

    Was a great friend she was always their for me and my girls.We had many fun times together.She helped me out though many hard times.She was that kind of person.Had a heart of gold.We always had so much fun together I will cherish all my memories with her with lots of Love.R.I.P.Beautiful Angel.My deepest sympathies to her beautiful children I love you all.

    Cindy was an amazingly strong, funny , loving mother , sister , friend and wife. She was my best friend and dedicated sister. We had a rough beginning and we stuck together and recovered. I talked to her everyday for the past 18 months and I am so missing her. I keep waiting for her call. May she Rest In Peace. Love and hugs

    Aunt Cindy.... I am already missing you so much. Growing up you always treated me and loved me just like my grandma did. I enjoyed spending summers with you and when you would come visit. You always knew how to make us laugh or even just cheer us up. We always knew you were just a phone call away and I will miss talking to you. If you couldn’t reach my grandma.... you’d call me. Not sure how life will continue on without you and your sense of humor. You were so strong, brave, beautiful, and loving.... Rest In Peace and know you are so loved.

    My mom was amazing! She did everything she could for us. She loved to tell jokes and make other laugh. She was kind and bad ass! I will keep you in my heart till forever. I love my mom Donna
