Obituary
On Friday December 10th, 2021, Cynthia Delores Hunt, Community activist, philanthropist, Blessed and Anointed, Purpose Driven, mother, grandmother, wife, daughter, sister, friend, and aunt passed away at her home in Palm Coast Florida. She was born in Kingston, Jamaica where she attended All Saints elementary and Kingston Technical High School. As a civil service employee for the Jamaican Government, she was a Postmaster and later became an Executive Officer. She immigrated to USA in 1969 and resided in Hollis Queens and Montclair, NJ.
She moved to Palm Coast in 1977 where she started working for ITT Community Development. She later became a top-class Real Estate Salesperson. She was involved in numerous community activities and received many acknowledgements, the most notable was the founder and president of United Caribbean Cultural Association (UCCA).
Survivors include Daughter (Charlene Hunt), Son Patrick Telfer (Sharon), Grandkids (Sean Telfer (GiGi), Jordan Telfer (Sydney), Corey Telfer (Steph), Kyle (Yossra), Paternal Beckles Sisters (Esmine, Jem, Melanie, Cynthia, Lovena, Fern). Paternal brothers (John, Perty), Niece (Samuels), Nephew (Paul Tulloch (Sherry Ann)) and numerous other nieces and nephews.
Her going home service will be 11:00 am on Dec 30th at Christ the King Anglican Church 6900 US-1 St Augustine FL. You can reach her son at 848 391 8144. Viewing will begin at 10:00 am.
