I want to take a minute to share some words about my father. He was an incredible man, husband, father, brother and son. His life was a story of strength, courage, drive, and bravery. His strength was not just his physical strength, but his strength of mind and resolve to be successful at everything he did. My father exemplified a strong masculine frame and he taught us well. My fathers courage is boundless. When the war in Vietnam was raging and the draft was in effect, my father volunteered to serve in combat. The pure desire to stand up and commit to serve his country personifies the kind of courageous person my father was, and he instilled the same in all of his children and grandchildren. He was a warrior! He taught us well. My fathers drive is unparalleled, with no college degree he was able to ascend to top executive management positions in several successful large telecommunication companies, he was a true example of the American success story. We were all so proud of him. He again taught us the power of hard work and dedication. He taught us well. His bravery was inspiring, he never bowed to another man and he would defend his family till his last breath. And that he did in the end as he faced his own mortality. He, like the brave and courageous soldier he was, stood tall, looked at his own fate and went out on his shield. He taught us well. We love you dad. You will continue to inspire your family for generations. Rest easy soldier, we will take it from here.

I’m going to miss you dad. Thank you for being a great father to me and grandfather to Jacob. Thank you for the life you provided to me growing up. You worked long hours to make sure we never went without. You were always there for me. Taught me right from wrong. Made sure I knew the true definition of work. You always pushed me to be the best at whatever I put my mind to. I always knew I could call you no matter what the topic and get an honest answer on my problem. You were a Vietnam Vet and the toughest man I’ve ever known. You fought a long tough fight, you beat the odds for over 40 years but you’re now no longer suffering. I hope to see you again one day. I love you.
