Obituary

Damon P Howell 52 passed away at the hospital in Ormond Beach, on May 08, 2017, after a long and brave battle with cancer. Damon was born March 1965. Damon leaves behind two sisters, Johnette Bernosky, husband Daniel Bernosky of Cookeville TN.  Shelley Sweat, husband Brian Sweat of Dunnellon, a brother, Josh B Howell and wife Christina of Deltona, along with several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father, John B Howell, and mother, Barbara F Howell, two sisters Penny Howell and Tracy Oglesby Damon‘s lifelong passion was in culinary foods which lead him to the Colonial Room restaurant where he worked for twenty years .He loved developing recipes and sharing his creations with family and friends  His second love was art where he again created beautiful pieces of stain glass. Damon will be remembered for his compassion for others and his witty sense of humor.  A devoted brother and friend he will be greatly missed by all that knew him and loved him. A celebration of life will be held at the G3 Church located at 1607 S. Sanford Ave. on Saturday, May 13, 2017, at 3:30PM, A gathering will follow at the Colonial Room restaurant located at 105 East 1st St.

    Damon I will miss you my dear friend! We were childhood friends who became family. I remember the days when you Shelly and I dreamed of putting a show on at the Civic center with our dance moved we worked so hard on everyday after school! You gave me the love of a brother and cherished friend. I will miss your smile and your laugh! I know your dancing in Heaven know.
