Obituary
Daniel I. Manucci passed away peacefully on March 2, 2025, surrounded by his loving family in The Villages, Florida. He was born on October 30, 1941, in Erie, Pennsylvania, the son of Ruby and John Manucci.
Dan graduated from Academy High School, the class of 1960. He dedicated 37 years of his career at Amsco/Steris Healthcare as a machine specialist technician before retiring in 2008. He was a lifelong member of The Erie Maennerchor Club, Siebenbuerger Club, the Elks Club and others where he formed life-time relationships and enjoyed many social gatherings.
Dan was an avid outdoorsman; he was a boat owner and found joy in boating and water skiing as a member of the Erie Waterski Club. He also loved golf, downhill skiing, traveling, and staying active through fitness and outdoor activities. His adventurous spirit and passion for life were evident in everything he pursued.
In 1963, Dan married Beverly L. Matz, with whom he shared 45 wonderful years and raised two children, Michele and Jeffrey. After Beverly’s passing in 2008, he found happiness again with a devoted companion, Beverly Johnson, and they shared over 15 loving, active years together. She was his devoted companion and with him through his illness and passing.
Dan is survived by his daughter Michele Cummings and her husband James Cummings; his son Dr. Jeffrey Manucci; his brothers Tom Manucci (Betty), Steve Manucci and nephew Joe Manucci. He is preceded in death by his wife Beverly, mother Ruby, father John Manucci, a sister Nora Olszewski ,and his only grandchild, Carli Cummings.
Dan will be fondly remembered by those who knew him for his enthusiasm for life, his kindness, and the cherished memories he created along the way.
A Mass will be on March 19, 2025, at St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church at 2 PM followed by the Celebration of life at the Rohan Rec Center in Wildwood, FL. May his memory bring comfort to all who mourn his passing and a blessing to all who knew him.
