Obituary

 Darlene was born in Carlisle, PA and came to this area in 2001. She worked for many years as a special needs educator at Atlantic High School. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church New Smyrna Beach. Her family remembers her as loving soul who enjoyed gardening, reading and Bingo. Her very special interest though was her love for special needs children.   She leaves to cherish her memory a daughter Susan McQuillen of Port Orange, son Michael Fought, brothers John (Barbara) Wilson and Rick (Anna Marie), Charles (Susan), Mark (Sharon) Thou  all of Niles, OH, and Terry Wilson of Akron, OH, sisters Dolores (Raymond) Reed, Clara Vanbuskirk of Akron, OH, Diane Schulist of Port Orange, Florida, and dear sister Sally (Clint) Finnegan of Coshocton, OH, two grandchildren Toni Destaffino and Cassie Eddy and three great grandchildren including her very special Charlie Blasdel.   In lieu of other remembrances donations are requested to Hospice of Volusia Southeast Care Center 4240 S Ridgewood Avenue Edgewater FL 32141. 11:00 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church 998 Father Donlan Drive New Smyrna Beach, FL 32168 on October 27, 2009 (map/driving directions) 6:00PM to 8:00PM at Baldwin Brothers Cremation Society 1 North Causeway New Smyrna Beach, FL 32169 on October 26, 2009 (map/driving directions)
