Obituary
Darryl Cole, 59, of Leesburg passed away on November 17, 2020. He was born in Leesburg, FL on October 4, 1961. Darryl was a father, husband, brother, son, a “Poppy” and friend…But in addition to that, he was a mentor for so many. He spent most of his free time doing what he loved and had a talent for, fishing. He was selfless, kind, trustworthy, and respected by so many. These traits are just a few that led him to be the President of the Florida Crappie Club. In addition to fishing, he enjoyed playing poker, and most importantly, spending time with his family. Darryl was an amazing father and an even greater “Poppy” to all of his wonderful grandbabies. He had a heart of gold and will be forever missed! Darryl is survived by his wife Teresa Cole and her children Andy and Ashley; his mother Barbara Kenney; daughter Amber Martin and her husband James; daughter Megan Belton and her husband Blake; sister Carmen Jackson and her husband Duke; and his grandbabies.
He was preceded in death by his father Franklin Cole.
and came across his picture. We were always friends back in the day and I thought I should try and find him on FB … say hello . I’m very saddened to learn of his passing. He was such a genuine soul . I read his tribute and am not a bit surprised by the amount of love , care and guidance he gave people. He was just that kind of a person. All you have to do is look at his face as it exudes goodness. My sincere condolences to his family. They say “ only the good die young “ well G-d most definitely called this Angel home too soon! RIP Darryl ❤️❤️
