Obituary
David Carl Moja, 88, of New Smyrna Beach – a great husband and father – went home to be with the Lord on April 26, 2022. Dave was born in Hayward, California in 1933, was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a graduate of San Jose State University. He received a master’s degree from Florida Institute of Technology and a Ph.D. from Nova University. He spent his career as a NASA Engineer and a College Professor. He was an active member of St. Peter the Fisherman Episcopal Church in New Smyrna Beach. He was predeceased in death by his parents, David Moja and Caroline Knudsen Moja, a brother, Benjamin Moja and a sister, Lila Moja Northern. He was also predeceased in death by his first wife, Janet Jones Moja, and an infant son, Benjamin. He is survived by his wife of 16 years, Nancy Moja and her extended Frakes/Storey family. He is also survived by his children of his first marriage, Dave (Lynda) Moja of Reidsville, GA; Bob (Terri) Moja of Sorrento, FL; and Jan Moja of Atlanta, GA. In addition, he is survived by his grandchildren, Luke Moja, Caitlyn Moja (Jeremiah Stuard), and Morgan Moja, as well as several nieces and nephews. There will be a memorial service held at St. Peter the Fisherman Episcopal Church at 2pm on May 14, 2022.
