Obituary
David K. Forbes, 75; devoted husband, father, and friend.
David K. Forbes, 75, died Thursday, July 9th at AdventHealth Orlando, after a hard-fought 18-year battle with a rare form of cancer. He lived in Lake Mary, Florida since 1991.
Mr. Forbes was born in Syracuse, New York in 1945 where he attended Notthingham High School before graduating from Georgetown University in the late 1960s. During this time he also served as an air traffic controller in the Air Force and Air National Guard.
His determination, optimism, and calm would be the cornerstone of the relationships he held dear. Mr. Forbes found the love of his life, Betsy, and together they recently celebrated 20 years of marriage. Devoted to his family, he was loyal and fiercely committed to making sure they came first. He never knew a stranger and will be remembered for his sense of humor and knack for striking a conversation with everyone.
Mr. Forbes is survived by his wife, Betsy; son Chad Forbes and wife Jennifer; daughter Chelsea Pullin and husband Zachary Petricola; sons Bryce Forbes and Trevor Pullin; and three grandchildren; sister Judith Benz; brother Ted Forbes and wife Eileen, sister Connie Horner and husband Ed; and in-laws Nancy and Joseph Lindenmuth and brother-in-law Stephen Lindenmuth; and many nieces and nephews.

Nottingham reunion
Please accept my sincere condolences. Dave was very instrumental in keeping the data base of all the alums from Nottingham class of "63 up to date. He was a wonderful father and friend. May his memory be eternal!
I did not realize when I asked what event the recent FB photo of Dave showed that Dave had passed away. Please accept my most heartfelt condolences. I was one of Dave's closest buddies at Nottingham High School in Syracuse 1960-63, along with John Witmeyer, Don Samson, and Dave Hammack. We ran track and cross country together. It is impossible to express strongly enough how fond my memories are of those days. It was a simpler, kinder time, one in which Dave fit well and one he carried forward. I don't have to tell you what a wonderful guy Dave was, totally without guile, friendly to all, and courageous in the face of his illness. He is gone far, far too soon. Even though it has been many years since we saw one another, my heart aches at his passing.
Thinking of your family during this time.
Sincerely,
Jessica Simpson
