Obituary

David Gary Jefferson, 75, of Fort Myers, FL, passed away on November 22, 2024. He was born on September 3, 1949, to Earl and Mary Ola Jefferson in Danville, Virginia. David dedicated 37 years of his career to UPS, where he was recognized for his commitment and work ethic. He had a passion for golf and enjoyed spending time on his putting green with their dog Bosley.

David is survived by his wife, Jeanne. He is also survived by his two daughters, Jennifer Jefferson and Melissa Sutherland (Ethan), along with his stepchildren, Zac Thorpe, Bryant Thorpe (Brittany), and Megan Keeler (Alex). He was a proud pop pop to nine grandchildren: Alexander, Grace, Riley, Jurnee, Sara, Madison, Sadie, Oliver, and Mackenzie. Additionally, he is survived by his sister, Rita Austin.

The family finds comfort in the words of Revelation 21:4: “He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.”

Family services will be private.
