David Howard Guthrie passed away peacefully on March 13th 2021 at the age of 65.
David will be missed by his son Arlo Guthrie, his Grandkids Jacob Guthrie, Allison Klingo, Delana Klingo, Brandon Klingo, Ronnie Klingo, and Kaelie Green.
He is preceded in death by his wife Linda Sue Guthrie and his sister Nancy Chancey-Guthrie.
He is survived by his sisters Carol Wilcox and Dee Dee Frazier and by his brothers James Guthrie and Peter Frazier.
David was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on September 17th 1955 to parents Edward James Guthrie and Dorothy Elizabeth Schmitt.
His family relocated to Florida where he attended Eau Gallie High School. After graduating he decided to serve his country in the US Army. After boot camp he was stationed in Fort Knox, Kentucky where he became a tank operator in the 10th Cavalry light armor division.
After being honorably discharged he moved back to Melbourne, Florida where he found a job at Holmes Regional Medical Center working in plant operations. He worked there until his retirement in 2018.
One of David’s favorite things to do was root on his beloved Pittsburgh Steelers, Penguins, and Pirates. But his greatest pleasures in life was spending time with his grandkids and traveling in his motor home with Linda.
Everyone that knew him, said he was the nicest most unselfish person. He will be remembered for his huge heart and how much he loved his family and how much they loved him back.

We will miss them here on earth but know they knew the Lord and are united in heaven now. Praying for strength and comfort for the family. So glad God brought David and Linda into our lives several years ago. Love and prayers, Roberta & Ed

Dave was such a great man. He was very kind, caring, fun and someone that quickly became your friend. Although we didn't have the privilege of knowing him a long time, we enjoyed our time with him very much. We shared lots of good conversation and laughter. He is deeply missed!

This is my brother. He was the most gentle person I have ever known. He was kind and seemed to care for everyone. He was a hard worker and had many talents. He loved Linda with all of his being. He loved his son Arlo. Arlo told me that he and his Dad never had the first problem. He had 2 stepchildren who in recent years had a good relationship with. He loved all his grandchildren and spoke of them often. I will truly miss him and Linda, but I know they are together now. I feel sure this is what David was waiting for. I will miss him terribly. He will never be forgotten and he will always be loved. Your Loving Sister, Carol.
