Obituary

Life Celebration for David Weightman, 50, New Smyrna Beach FL who passed away Thursday, March 30, 2016 will be 1:00 PM Saturday, April 9 at Baldwin Brothers Heritage Place 1 North Causeway New Smyrna Beach FL 32169.

David is survived by his parents Everett and Carol Weightman, sister, Rachael Weightman , brother Brian and Niece Brianna. He is pre-deceased by grandparents Mike and Mary Samarco. He is a graduate of Trinity Preparatory High School Winter Park and Shepherd College Shepherdstown, WV. David was competitive swimmer with Winter Park Blue Dolphins and Shepherd College swim team. He spent most of his life in restaurant business as Culinary Chef. He continued enjoy swimming and bicycling. He loved life, family, the outdoors and was devoted to animals In lieu of flowers donation to Halifax Health Hospice of Volusia at https://www.halifaxhealth.org.

    Hello Weightman Family. I am shocked and saddened by this news of David. I am also joyous knowing that David is now in the hands of the Lord our God. Some of the great memories of my youth, swimming and college were spent with your family and in that Ford truck! Carol and Everatt, I know the joy and pain of raising children, I have 3 wonderful boys.
    My love and prayers go out to you both, Brian (my Bud) and Rachael.

    Just wanted to say how incredibly sad I am to hear about the loss of David. Growing up with him as one of the "older siblings" I just admired him. He was so kind and easy going, always smiling and laughing... There are so many wonderful memories of growing up with the Weightman's! I love your family so dearly and my family will keep you all in our thoughts and prayers!

    Carol and Ed please let me offer our deepest sympathy for your loss. Cartie and I were absolutely shocked to hear about David. David was so much like the kids I coached as Sanford Naval Academy. Talented but a challenge. A challenge that I enjoyed!
