Obituary
Dean A Casteel, 70, formerly of Cincinnati, OH, passed away on February 17th, 2023 in Fort Myers, FL.
Dean was born in Cincinnati, OH to Leonard David Casteel and Jean (Sonnycalb) on July 23, 1952. He went to school in Loveland, OH, where he made many friends that he stayed in contact with most of his life.
Dean worked as as auto mechanic for General Motors in Norwood, OH for 11 years. He was a veteran of the United States Navy, where he proudly served on the USS Saratoga and was awarded the Navy Unit Commendation Ribbon, the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, and the Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal.
Dean was preceded in death by his father, Leonard David Casteel; his mother, Jean Sonnycalb Wright; and his brother, Daryl L. Keith Casteel
Dean is survived by his daughter, Kellie Ann Adkins-Clark (Dylan); his sisters: Neva Hall (Darryl) & Melissa Hoffman; his brother, David Emerson Casteel Sr (Linda); his grandchildren: Morgan Carpenter (Jesse), Rivers Adkins (Hope), Montana Yaden, Travis Adkins Jr (Elizabeth), Jonathan Adkins and his great-grandchildren: Matthew Carpenter, Amelia Carpenter an d Kinsley Yaden.
