Obituary

With a heavy heart, Ruey Badgley Pethick announces the passing of her beloved husband, Dean Lee Pethick of New Smyrna Beach, Florida and formally of Schoharie, New York. Dean departed this life on November 20, 2016.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Ruey, their children Tracey Nash (Daniel), Allison Wingle (Nicholas), and their three grandchildren, Arden Cunniff, Nicholas and Chase Wingle.

He was an avid member of the Volusia County Gun and Hunt Club and the New Smyrna Municipal Golf Club. He was a Navy veteran serving on the USS Saratoga.

Services will be held at the Cape Canaveral National Cemetery on December 2, 2016 at 2:30 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the USO in Dean’s name.

I was so sorry to hear of Dean's passing. I'm glad both of you were able to come to our 55th Class Reunion. I was so pleased to hear from Dean after the reunion telling me how much he enjoyed viewing the video I made up for him and all the other classmates who were also there at the reunion. He was a great guy and he will certainly be missed by all who knew him.

What an incredible dear friend. So many good times looking for antiques, playing cards and dominoes and going out to eat. Sharing time in our homes in Florida.
