Obituary

Deborah Kay Clifton, 66, of Christmas, Florida died March 13, 2023.  Deborah was born July 25, 1956 in Ada, Oklahoma to the late Donald and Betty Stokes.  She graduated from the University of Central Florida with an Accounting degree.  She married Paul Clifton in 1982 at a back-yard ceremony at her mom and dad’s house in Tishomingo, Oklahoma and they moved to Florida shortly afterwards.  Deborah’s loves of her life were her horses, Patrick and Larz.  Deborah was an accomplished Hunter Jumper and trail rider who shared her love of horses with many people through the years.  Deborah touched the lives of everyone she met as she took love everywhere she went.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul in 2016 and is survived by her brothers, Darel and Donald and their wives Connie and Regina, Uncle and Aunt Sandy and Charlotte Northcutt, and many nieces and nephews.  Other survivors include very good friends, Anais and Patrick Butler; Katelyn, Johnathan, and William Butler and furry friends; horses, Patrick and Larz and puppy dog, Doogie.  A life celebration will be held on April 1 at 2:00 PM at her farm.  In lieu of flowers memorial donations are suggested to be made to any of the many horse rescue organizations available.
