Obituary

It is with deep regret that I announce the passing of Deborah A Jordan.  Debbie, as she liked to be called, is the daughter of the late Louis Vicorito and Doris Woods, and the younger sister of the late Patty Peterson.  She was born and raised in the Hartford Connecticut area.  Prior to starting a life long career as a nurse’s aid she was in school training as an administrative assistant.

Debbie was married once, for about 12 years, to the late Leonard Sam Jordan II.  Married in Connecticut they ended up in Ormond Beach Florida as new parents to their only two children, Leonard Sam Jordan III and Betsy Mae Jordan, whom are alive and reside in Florida and Virginia respectively.

Debbie worked for about 40 years serving as a nurses’ aid at Avante in Ormond Beach.  She was an amazing employee that really cared for her patients.  For hobbies she enjoyed country line dancing and was on multiple country dance teams that would perform throughout the area.  Blane Miller, her longtime boyfriend, enjoyed taking her to the local country clubs and other trips.  When not out exploring the country, like going to Dollywood, they both enjoyed working in the backyard.

Debbie retired at 65 and enjoyed being retired spending most of her time in the backyard working on her garden of plants and playing with Newman and Sunny, her dogs.  Enjoying retirement was cut short due to a diagnosis of dementia, which eventually took her life.

She was amazing mom that was always ready to help her children.  Her passion was Blane and her children and making sure they were always taken care of.  Her other passion was Jesus Christ and attending church each week.  Her son was able to be there at her passing and promised to always talk to her, in his prayers, each night before going to bed, knowing that she is fully restored connecting with long time family in heaven.
