Obituary

Deborah R. Farrell passed away on January 8, 2018 surrounded by her family.  She was born in East Baltimore, Md. to Joseph and Frances (Gasior) Rohm June 26, 1952.  Debbie graduated from Girls Catholic High School, and received her undergraduate degree from University of Baltimore, and her graduate degree from University of Maryland.  She was well regarded professionally at the Johns Hopkins University, School of Medicine, and at the University of Miami, School of International Studies (North South Center).

Locals will remember Debbie as the co-owner with her husband Bob, of Beef O’ Brady’s in Mulberry Grove Plaza from its opening until she retired in 2014.  Debbie had a passion for cooking, travel, reading, and loved spending time with her husband and daughter, and their dog, Duffy.  She was caring and compassionate, putting all others before herself.  Debbie could light up a room with her smile and personality.

Debbie is survived by her husband of 45 years, Bob;  their daughter Kelsey; sister Judy Weatherby (Dick) of Fallston, Md.; sisters-in-love Noreen F. Pyle (Bill), Rosemarie F. Holaway, Arleen F. Coakley, and Sherri F. Lee (Ray), all of The Villages.  She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and in-laws.

A Celebration of Life will be held to remember Debbie on Saturday, February 24, 2018 at Lake Miona Regional Recreation Center on Buena Vista Boulevard at Bailey Trail in The Villages, Florida.  The gathering will be at 10:00 AM with a memorial service beginning at 11:00 AM.

In lieu of flowers, life remembrances can be made to Hubbard House at Orlando Health and American Cancer Society in Debbie’s memory.

Debbie Farrell will be missed in so many ways. She had unique skills. Nobody made a better mustard than her, nobody had a Christmas Village, better than hers, nobody had a cleaner house than hers and nobody could be a better wife to Bob or mother to Kelsey, better than she was.
