In Loving Memory of Deborah Kay Wade (1950 – 2024)
Let the memory of Debbie be with us forever.
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Deborah Kay Wade, affectionately known as Debbie, a beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and friend, on September 23, 2024.
Debbie was born on April 10, 1950, in Chicago, Illinois, and was lovingly raised by her stepfather, Robert Fulton Howard, Jr., and her dear mother, Harriet Louise Howard.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Gerald William Wade (Jerry), and their two cherished children: Michelle Lea Larson (Mickey), along with her husband, Herbert W. Larson (Bill) and Christopher Scott Wade, along with his wife, Jennifer Leigh Wade. Debbie is also fondly remembered by her loving brother, Robert Fulton Howard, III, and her treasured sister-in-law, Michelle Lynn Howard.
Debbie was a proud grandmother to three grandchildren: Erika Haley Larson, Colby Scott Wade, and Anistin Leigh Wade, as well as a new great-grandson, Adrain Christopher Finn. Her joy was also shared with her three nieces: Alice Bailey Howard, Ryan Faith Howard, and Rylee Elizabeth Howard, all of whom brought light and laughter into her life.
A devoted and selfless individual, Debbie was always there when her family and friends needed her most, offering support, wisdom, and unconditional love. Her faith in Christ was central to her life, and she was a beloved member of her community in St. Petersburg, where she will be remembered for her kindness, generosity, and strength.
Debbie enjoyed a successful 33-year career in Accounting Management with BayCare. She was admired by her colleagues for her dedication, meticulous attention to detail, and unwavering passion for her work. Her professional legacy is one of hard work and integrity.
Among Debbie’s favorite pastimes were family gatherings, playing games, reading, and engaging in daily three-way phone calls with her favorite cousins. She found immense joy in her church family at Liberty Baptist Church, where she was a devoted member, loving the Lord with all her heart.
As we mourn the loss of Debbie, or “MeMe” as she was affectionately known, we find comfort in remembering the profound impact she had on our lives. Her legacy of love, faith, and generosity will remain forever in our hearts.
In lieu of flowers, we invite you to join us in celebrating Debbie’s vibrant spirit by wearing bright colors, a reflection of her joyful life and unwavering faith in Christ.
A memorial service will be held at Liberty Baptist Church, 9401 4th Street North, St. Petersburg, FL on November 9th at 11:00am
