Obituary
Debra Anne Ennis age 61 of Leesburg Florida passed away on 09-13-2016.
Debra was a data entry clerk for Eustis High School for 22 years, until she retired in 2007.
Debra married the love of her life Terry Wayne Ennis in 1986. They were happily married for 23 years until his passing on December 19, 2009.
Debra loved spending time with her family. She had a passion for baking special desserts for all of her friends and family to enjoy. Debra, being born on Halloween, loved playing tricks on people and always loved making them laugh.
Debra was a wonderful mother who raised her children Chance and Terri Lynn to be respectful, responsible and dependable adults. She loved being a grandmother to her grandson Christopher, but her deepest passion was spending time with her husband Terry.
Debra was born in New Orleans Louisiana, she lived there until she moved to Florida in 1971. She was very proud of her Cajun heritage, she took her heritage with her wherever she went. From her family to her style of cooking, you always knew Debra was a true coon-ass.
Debra was raised with several brothers and sisters and she loved picking on them, but never let anyone else mess with them because she would be the first one to jump in to protect them.
Debra’s mother Valerie is so grateful to God for her daughter and all the wonderful years that he allowed Debra to be in her life. Debra always tried to make sure her mama was always taken care of.
Debra was a very caring and strong woman, she was very devoted to her husband,children, family and friends , she was a teacher, mentor, role model and protector to those she loved. She will be truly missed.
Debra is survived by her son Chance Ennis, Step-daughter Terri LynnEnnis, Grandson- Christopher Ennis, Mother Valerie Chavis, Sisters Myrna Harrison, Sherry Harris and Lisa Harrison. Brothers Sterling Harris and John Harris and step-brother Eric Chavis and several nieces and nephews.
I want to thank you for all the wonderful years you have given me with my loving daughter, Debra Anne. Now I am handing her back over to you, to forever be cherished.
