Debra Anne Ennis age 61 of Leesburg Florida passed away on 09-13-2016.

Debra was a data entry clerk for Eustis High School for 22 years, until she retired in 2007.

Debra married the love of her life Terry Wayne Ennis in 1986. They were happily married for 23 years until his passing on December 19, 2009.

Debra loved spending time with her family.  She had a passion for baking special desserts for all of her friends and family to enjoy.  Debra, being born on Halloween, loved playing tricks on people and always loved making them laugh.

Debra was a wonderful mother who raised her children Chance and Terri Lynn to be respectful, responsible and dependable adults. She loved being a grandmother to her grandson Christopher, but her deepest passion was spending time with her husband Terry.

Debra was born in New Orleans Louisiana, she lived there until she moved to Florida in 1971. She was very proud of her Cajun heritage, she took her heritage with her wherever she went. From her family to her style of cooking,  you always knew Debra was a true coon-ass.

Debra was raised with several brothers and sisters and she loved picking on them,  but never let anyone else mess with them because she would be the first one to jump in to protect them.

Debra’s mother Valerie is so grateful to God for her daughter and all the wonderful years that he allowed Debra to be in her life. Debra always tried to make sure her mama was always taken care of.

Debra was a very caring and strong woman, she was very devoted to her husband, children, family and friends , she was a teacher, mentor, role model and protector to those she loved. She will be truly missed.

Debra is survived by her son Chance Ennis, Step-daughter Terri LynnEnnis, Grandson- Christopher Ennis, Mother Valerie Chavis, Sisters Myrna Harrison, Sherry Harris and Lisa Harrison.  Brothers Sterling Harris and John Harris and step-brother Eric Chavis and several nieces and nephews.

You are my big sister. I love you and I'm going to miss you so bad! I'll miss all the talks we had about everything and nothing. All the tears we cried for everybody and for each other. All the fun times we had playing our Facebook games and trying to beat each other. I remember the weekend you and Terry came up to visit. We stayed up all night playing Scrabble. About 3am we were wondering why we couldn't comprehend what we were even doing. Then we both started laughing hysterically because we realized the Scrabble board was upside down. It's times like that which I'll miss the most. Our "being silly little girls again" times. God Bless You sis. Until we meet again, come see me in my dreams and laugh with me again!

Mom was a loving Mother to me. She always put me first and always had my best interest at heart. Never every thought that by the age of 36 both of my parents would be gone. I hope Mom and Dad both found each other again and are continuing their love that they once had. Mom was a teacher, mentor, friend, and if you needed your ass tore up she was there for that too. Mom gave me the tools to be successful in life. She was there every step of the way to make sure I did. Growing up I didn't always see eye to eye with her because I thought I knew more than she did, but that just showed how immature I actually was at the time. I have a lot of good memories of her growing up and will have to rely on those since there will be no more. I miss my Mom soooooo freaking much. I hope she will still watch after me and guide me until we meet again. I love you Momma.
