Debra Denise DeLoe, 50, of Edgewater FL passed away on Monday Jan 28, 2013 at Hospice Care
Center Edgewater, FL.
Debra the oldest daughter of Carl and Joyce Kaufman of Edgewater. Debra was born November 6, 1962 and lived most of her life in Mayville, NY. She and her family moved to Edgewater in 2006. Debra graduated from Jamestown Community College in 1991 with a degree in Nursing. After 10 years in nursing while with Heritage Green as the Director of Nursing she attended the University of Buffalo NY and got her Master’s Degree in Nursing in 2002. She became a Nurse Practitioner for Heritage Village of Gerry NY. On moving to Florida to be close to family Deb worked at Port Orange Urgent Care, MetCare of New Smyrna Beach and Quick Care of Port Orange.
She was married to Willard DeLoe on July 11 1992. They have two sons Shawn Kaufman of Vail CO, Colin DeLoe of Edgewater, three daughters Marcie (Stan) Buys of Stuart FL, Shannon DeLoe of West Palm Beach and Karlee DeLoe of Edgewater, a sister Barbara (Dan ) Martin of Dover New Hampshire, nephew Shane Martin of Dover and two Grandsons, Zasha and Zachariah of Stuart Fl. Deb was blessed to be a foster mom to eight children in her life time.
She was involved in Medical Mission trips to Haiti as a Nurse Practitioner and made four trips to Haiti, three with CSI international. Deb loved to read, cook, enjoy her pool and family. She was a member of the Edgewater United Methodist Church where she cooked for Wacky Wednesday. Most of all Deb loved her work the gift God gave her of listening and treating people. She will be loved and remembered by all. Donations in her memory may be made to the Edgewater United Methodist Church Food Pantry 204 Hubbell Street Edgewater FL 32132. She will have a time of remembrance on Feb 15 at 1:00 at Edgewater UMC US 1 in Edgewater. In July, at Freay’s Funeral home Mayville NY we will say our goodbyes as she is laid to rest in Mayville Cemetery.
