Obituary

Debra Massey Foley, 70, passed away peacefully, in her home, on June 15, 2022.  She was surrounded by her loving family.

Daughter of Theophilus and Elizabeth Massey. She was born in Leesburg, Florida on August 23,1951. Debbie graduated from Wildwood High School, class of 1969. She worked for many years at Diversified Electronics in Leesburg, FL. For the last 20 years, she was the office manager at Browne Distributors in Fruitland Park, FL.

Debbie loved animals, nature, and life itself. She was happy just being on the farm with her husband and all of her animals (many she rescued).  She loved all of her family, and always wished to find more time to be with them. She always saw herself as too caring and sensitive – to know Debbie Foley was to love her.

Debbie is survived by her husband Russell Foley, son Greg Bare, daughter Brittany (Bare) Mimms, stepson Michael Foley, and stepdaughter Jessica (Foley) McClain. Children or step-children, she loved them all the same. She also adored her nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Debbie has two siblings, Richard Massey and Leslie James.

Debbie you will be missed by so many! I'm so blessed that God chose you to be my bonus mom. I will always hold on to the memories we shared. You were an amazing Nana to all of your grandchildren. The bond you had with your great grandchildren was indescribable. You taught your great grandson Ace how to love your farm and that he did! I will be sure to always keep your memory alive in my grandchildren , your great grandchildren. I loved watching how much of a free spirit you were , how much you loved my dad even when he was a pain You were always so fun and I could always count on you to get out and dance with me when nobody else would! You were always happy , you loved your family & animals more than I can express. We all love you so much. I'm so saddened that you are gone but you are forever in our hearts & free of any pain. We were definitely the lucky ones to have you. I love you. ❤️ Love , Jessica

My dearest little Debbie, you came into my life when I needed someone to complete my life and take away my sadness. You brought me happiness when I needed it most. You have always been my number one best friend. You were always there when I needed love and reassurance. The touch of your hand took away my fears and your support made me strong. We have always been a team. I was not ready for your departure yet. I should be happy for the time we had together, you were the answer to my prayers, but I am selfish, I want more time together. 31 years was not enough. I miss my teammate Your Loving Husband Russell
