Obituary

Dennis Anthony Sackett, 60, New Smyrna Beach FL died Friday, January 14, 2011.  Dennis was born in Syracuse, New York and came to this area in 2007 from Cicero, NY. He served our nation in the United States Air Force. He worked in sales for a coffee company. Dennis enjoyed rebuilding hot rod automobiles and playing golf.  He is survived by his wife Charmaine, sons Dennis, II and Christopher and six grandchildren. Memorial donations are requested to Hospice of Volusia Southeast Care Center 4140 South Ridgewood Avenue Edgewater FL 32141 or American Cancer Society.

    I couldn't ask for a better father-in-law. I will miss him a lot. Thank god I have many fond memories.... Dennis and Charmaine through thick and thin..Dennis and Den being buds...Dennis with Denny and Alicia...his 70 chevelle "baby" and goingt to car shows together... his laugh..all his great friends...BV and ginger...car t-shirts...Levi jeans and shorts...coffee..that same hairbrush from the 80's maybe the 70's..his mustache...... love always

    Dennis was one of my best friends and mentors. I cared for him and his family a lot. I will miss him dearly. There will never be another one like him in my life.

    So sorry to hear the news. I look at this picture and only think of many good times and meeting up at the car shows. Char, you are so in my thoughts and please know we really care about you and loved this guy!
    We had so many great delima days and those will always be close to my heart!
