Obituary
Dennis Young, 74, New Smyrna Beach FL and a United States Military Veteran peacefully passed away August 13, 2016 at Halifax Health Hospice Edgewater. He was born in Toledo, OH and joined the Air Force right after high school. He was stationed at Barksdale AFB in Boiser City, LA. There he met his wife Billie whom he kiddingly referred to as his “Ragin Cajun”. They moved back to Toledo where they began their life and shared a precious 51 years together. Dennis worked as a machinist repairman at Champion Spark Plugs before retiring to New Smyrna Beach. He enjoyed finding treasures on the beach while metal detecting and could be spotted all over town with a smile on his face while riding his scooter. Dennis worshiped his Lord at Edgewater Alliance Church. He is preceded in death by his mother Mary Condon, step father Ray Condon, father Paul Young, brother David Young and his beloved daughter and her unborn child, Tammy Pinkelman. Surviving are his wife Billie, daughter Sheri and granddaughters Alexis Jones and Danielle Vandenberg. There will be a Life Celebration at Edgewater Alliance Church 5:30 PM Wednesday, August 24. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to Halifax Health Hospice 4200 S Ridgewood Avenue Edgewater FL 32141.
