Obituary

Dennis Lee Sullivan, age 72 of Winter Park, FL passed away suddenly on Tuesday, December 30, 2025.

He was born in Charleston, SC on March 2, 1953, to John R. Sullivan, Jr. and Eliza Ann Beckner Sullivan.  He had many opportunities to travel as a young boy as his father was a commander in the US Navy and was stationed in different places in the US such as South Carolina, California and Maryland.  He graduated from Walter Johnson High School in Bethesda, MD in 1971.

His work positions held included working in a bank in Florida and later at UCF as a computer tech.

Dennis was a kind, caring and gentle soul as exemplified by his taking care of his mother in his home and caring for her until her passing, shortly after her 90th birthday.  He had many friends and relatives who loved him on and off Facebook.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John R. Sullivan, Jr., and Eliza Ann Beckner Sullivan.  Survivors include his brother, John R. Sullivan, III, his nieces, Eliza, Amy and Christine, his nephew, John IV, his great niece, Kaylee and her mother, Sonia and many cousins.

The family will receive relatives and friends at Baldwin Brothers Cremation and Funeral Society, 1654 N. Semoran Blvd., Orlando, FL 32807 from 11 am until 1 pm on Saturday, January 10, 2026.  Burial will take place privately.

I treasure our memories together as cousins. We'd likely only see each other a couple times a year as kids, but at Christmas, we'd always compare our gift haul. Later, we didn't see each other quite as much, but I knew your family was 'just down the street' in Bethesda. The Sullivans were always generous with their house and their time with our little Get-Togethers. On a personal level, I was always envious that you got to see the Beatles perform, and I didn't. Dennis, on wings of Angels, Ernie
