Obituary
Diana “Diane” Gail VanEvery, age 79, earned her heavenly wings on June 12, 2018, following a courageous battle with cancer. She died peacefully in the care of Halifax Hospice of Volusia/Flagler Port Orange Care Center. She was Presbyterian.
Born July 12, 1938 in Detroit, Michigan, she was the youngest daughter of the late Paul Edward Reed and Nelma Alfreda Frantti, and the loving wife of the late Peter John VanEvery (deceased June 20, 2002, age 65). She was also preceded in death by her brother-in-law Arthur W. Dickinson, and in-laws Russell A. VanEvery and Mary Helen VanEvery.
She was a devoted wife and homemaker, a loving mother, mother-in-law, daughter, sister and aunt. She also worked as a secretary for many years.
Diane made Port Orange, Florida her home in 2003. She immediately fell in love with her new community, Crane Lakes, meeting new people at the pool, making new friends, playing bridge, helping neighbors, or sharing a drink and/or a meal with family and friends. She was kindhearted and loving to all she met.
Diane is survived by her sister, Barbara Reed Dickinson, her brother-in-law Bob (Jan) VanEvery, her daughter Kris (Casey) Lynch, her son Jeff (Linda) VanEvery, granddaughter Angela and great granddaughter Hannah, as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews.
A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, August 4, 2018 at 1pm at the Crane Lakes ballroom, 1850 Crane Lakes Blvd, Port Orange FL 32128.
