Obituary

Diane “Dee” Pursley, will be remembered as a loving and devoted wife, stepmother, grandmother, sister, friend, neighbor and a spirit filled Christian.  She loved being surrounded by family and friends as she was on the day Jesus’ took her hand Thursday, June 24, 2010 during her journey home to heaven as she will be waiting for us to join her.  Dee was born December 7, 1954 in Baltimore, MD.  She was a Phlebotomist at Halifax Hospital for many years before retiring.  Dee was someone that could always be counted on for help and loving support.  She always had a shoulder to cry on, arms and heart open and was willing to listen and help anyone at any hour.  Dee enjoyed cooking, football, having lunch with the girls, reading her bible and time with her family.  She was preceded in death by her father, Roland W. Olseen-Evans.  Dee is survived by her loving husband and best friend of 25 years, Ronald C. Pursley; mother-in-law, Nahoma F. Pursley of DeLand; daughters, Michele and Rhonda Pursley both of DeLand; three grandchildren, Blayne, Blayke and Courtney; two sisters, Kathie Volluse of Tampa, FL and Nancy Volluse of DeLand; brother, Benny Volluse and her mother, Joan Volluse both of DeLand.   10:30 am at DeLand Memorial Gardens 600 E.     We send you our deepest condolences not only from us but from everyone that knew Dee. She will be deeply missed by so many.
    Dee is no longer in pain non is she suffering and we celebrate her life - it is the ones left behind that have to deal with their grief in their own way.
