Diane M Keyser
New Smyrna Beach – Diane M. Keyser, 67, was a beautiful, stoic, kind person, devoted to her family and friends. She passed on Easter Sunday after courageously fighting a four year cancer battle, with her husband at her side.
Diane was strong, brave, fun-loving, caring and always in style…a stand-out in any crowd. She loved her horses and barrel-racing, for which she won many awards in 8 or 9 states. She enjoyed attending Nascar races and entertaining family and friends at the ranch that she always kept looking beautiful.
Born to Rose Sturges and Arthur Haskill, July 17,1953. She leaves behind her loving husband of 44 years, Neil Keyser; mother, Rose Sturges; brothers, David (Anita) Haskill; Tom Sturges, Michael Sturges; nieces, Heather (JC) Justen, Clayton, Heidi Haskill; nephews, Tommy Sturges, David Jones; pets, Zero and Harley and many cousins and close friends. Diane is predeceased by her step-father Harry Sturges and sister Jayne (Michael) Parrish.
Diane was a NSB High School graduate, attended DBCC, was a member of the New Smyrna Baptist Church, the Sandspur Riding Club, the FBRA and MBRA. Her careers included, Morrisons Cafeteria for 14 years, alongside her sister and Cobb, Cole, PA., where she retired after 31 years.
A private service will be held for immediate family, with a celebration of Diane’s life, at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Diane’s memory to either Halifax Health Hospice, Edgewater or the NSB Humane Society.
