Obituary

Dolores “Dee” Savage Manley, beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on April 9, 2024, at the age of 91. Born in Scranton, PA, on January 17, 1933, Dee lived a full and vibrant life marked by her dedication to family, passion for her career, and diverse interests.

Dee was married twice. Her first marriage was to Edgar “Ed” Wing, with whom she had three daughters: Linda, Norma, and Carol. She later married Lyndell Manley.  A distinguished real estate broker and agent, Dee received several awards throughout her career, reflecting her commitment and excellence in the field. She also showcased her athleticism and team spirit by playing basketball and cheerleading in high school.

Dee was an elegant, poised, and intelligent woman known for her charisma and love for life. She had a passion for painting, playing the piano, reading, and traveling. She found joy in walking on the beach and cherished the moments spent with her family.

Dee is preceded in death by her first husband, Edgar Clarence Wing, and her second husband, Lyndell Lea Manley. She is survived by her daughters and their families: Linda and son-in-law, Linda and Jim Russo, granddaughter Mindy and her husband Robert Talley. Norma and son-in-law Brian Stephens, granddaughter Madison Stephens. Carol and son-in-law Charlie Schermerhorn, granddaughter April and Jeff Sawicki, 2 great grandsons Bryson & Hunter, and grandson Adam and his wife Cassidy Schermerhorn.

A memorial service to celebrate Dee’s life will be held on May 20, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Highland Memorial Gardens, 3329 East Semoran Blvd, Apopka, FL 32703. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the Society of Dementia/Alzheimer’s in Dee’s honor.

Dee’s warmth, elegance, and loving nature will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her legacy of love, kindness, and passion for life will continue to inspire her family and friends.
