Obituary
Don was the adored husband and best friend of Sally, who spoiled her with his wonderful cooking and lunch box surprises. They traveled, cruised, and took motorcycle rides to many wonderful places. They were teammates in a bowling league, and opponents in a Fantasy Football league, where Don usually made it to the “superbowl.”
Don was a loving, encouraging, fun father to Cheryl (Bryant) Tucci. He was my greatest supporter in anything I would endeavor. You went above and beyond to always support our family.
You would often find Don discussing the Bears and White Sox with his son-in-law Rocco Tucci. He would always lend a hand to build or fix something for him.
“Papa” was what his grandkids Joseph & Sara called their affectionate grandpa. There wasn’t a sporting event or a music concert he would miss. He was one of their biggest cheerleaders.
He was the fond Stepdad of Jonathan Martinez, and found special places to eat and see when Jon visited.
He was the best “dog dad” of Maggie and spent many good times at the beach and dog park.
Don was a proud member of Sheet Metal Workers’ Local 73 for over 45 years.
His Harley Motorcycle was his pride and joy, and a highlight was going to the motorcycle rally in Sturgis, South Dakota where he received his first tattoo.
There was not a song on the radio, that he wouldn’t sing.
He was very loved and will be missed.
He wouldn’t want us to be sad for long, but to be thankful we had so many good years with a lifetime of memories.
Thinking of you today and always, we will love you forever. xxx
You will be in my many thoughts and prayers of healing strength in the days to come!
Thank you for letting me know, Don already received his wings! I'm certain he'll be flying close to all those he loved so dearly!
