Obituary

Alexander, Donald E – Donald Edward Alexander, 82 of Daytona Beach, formerly of Tampa, FL and Trenton NJ, entered into Heaven on March 1, 2009.  Don was born to William and Harriet Alexander September 9, 1926 in Trenton NJ.  He was a WWII and Korean War Veteran Honorably discharged from the Navy in 1951.  He retired from Public Service Gas & Electric Co, Trenton, NJ and The Orthopedic Clinic of Daytona Beach.  His cherished pastime was cooking for the Ozark & Fin Fur & Feather Hunting Clubs, the Elks Lodge # 2262, and the Hibernians Club, Hamilton, NJ.  He is survived by three sons: Thomas (Linda) Wrightstown, NJ; David New Smyrna Beach, FL; Jack (Lori) Levittown, PA; and his daughter Donna Van Weele (Peter) Port Orange, FL.  Daughter-in-law’s: Maggie Alexander Edgewater, FL & Lucia Alexander Trenton, NJ.  Eight Grandchildren:  John Thomas (Vicky), Kate; Milton French; Amy, Allison, & Ashley; Christopher (Ally); SSGT Brad (Tabitha).  Great-grandchildren: Brandy, Taylor, Emma and Caelyn June and   numerous nieces and nephews. One sister: Gail (Arthur) Glennon. Special friends: Joey & Bernadette Garcia, Tampa, FL.    The family requests donations to the American Heart Association, the American Diabetes Association, or Hospice of Volusia/Flagler. 6:00PM at Baldwin Brothers Funeral & Cremation Service 1 North Causeway New Smyrna Beach, FL 32169 on March 10, 2009 (map/driving directions) Cremation

    MAGGIE, KATE,BRAD AND ALL THE ALEXANDER FAMILY.
    IM SO SORRY TO HEAR ABOUT DON. I HAVE SO MANY MEMORIES OF JUNE AND DON OVER THE YRS.
    JUNE ALWAYS MADE ME LAUGH. I CAN REMEMBER BACK WHEN KATE WAS A BABY AND THEY WOULD BRING HER TO MAGGIE AT LUNCH TIME IN NSB AT TIPTONS.ALL THE GOOD COOKIN DON DID. AND JUNE'S PEANUTBUTTER FUDGE.     So sorry to all of you on the loss of your father. I remember both of your parents very well. We were neighbors, and friends. I have some very fond memories of your parents from when I was a child.
