Obituary

Born August 27, 1922 in Sharpesburg, PA. He was the son of Celesta and James Carnahan. He was also the brother of Celesta Smith and James Robert Carnahan.

His wife of 69 years, Imogene Carnahan lived in the Westminster Towers Health Center until she died January 26, 2016.

He is survived by his daughter Deborah Wood (John), his sons Donald J, Douglas, David (Laura), grandson Nicholas and granddaughters Kelly, Delaney and Sarah.

After Japan declared war in 1941 he joined the Army Air Corps in 1942, serving 3 ½ years. Upon Discharge he attended 9 years of evening school, graduating from the University of Pittsburgh with a Bachelors degree. In 1948 he joined the Ford Motor Co where he was employed for 38 years.

    To the Carnahan family,I Ruthie Low had such a beautiful pleasure of caring for your dad and mom. My heart was broken when I found out. I was out of work because of an car accident. Had to go through neuro-therapy. I thank the Carnahan for trusting me to love and care for the most loving example what marriage is all about. I will miss you PAPA DON ado affections called him.     All four of us Carnahan kids were greatly blessed and privileged to have such amazing parents, who always put us children ahead of themselves. Dad and Mom's generosity was overwhelming and lasted right up until the time they passed from this life into heaven. They will not be forgotten.
