Obituary
Donald Warren Hasty, 94, of Port Orange, FL., passed away surrounded by his loving family on April 30,2024 at Halifax Healthcare Hospice, Ormond Beach, FL.
Donald was born on February 19, 1930, in Mackinaw, IL to David & Doris (Jefferson) Hasty. He married Anna Louise Teubel on December 24, 1951. He is survived by his loving wife of 73 years. Together they have 3 children. She survives him, and lives in Port Orange, FL.
Surviving are their three children, Greg (Heidi) Hasty of Daytona Beach,FL, Kris(Becky) Hasty of Geneva, IL, and Karla(Mark) Clarkson of Auburn, WA. They have four grandchildren, Alison(James) Wilson, Madison(Ray) Hardaway, Lauren Hasty and Colin Hasty. They have their first great grandchild, Marcus Wilson born in 2023.
He is proceeded in death by his parents, his brother Dean and his sister-in-law Jane.
Don grew up in Mackinaw, Il. where he attended high school. After high school, he was drafted by the Army. He was on active duty and shipped off to the Korean War. He came back to the states on a 10 day at Christmas time. He married Ann, the love of his life, on Christmas Eve 1951. After Don got out of the service, he acted on the GI Bill and attended Bradley University. He received his Bachelor’s Degree, while working nights for the Railroad.
He worked for Viemont Lumber Company in Mackinaw. He then went to Pabst Brewing Company in Peoria Heights. He worked at the brewery until it closed in 1982. They made a major move across the country to Bellevue, Washington, where he became the plant manager of Rainier Brewing Company. He worked for several other companies, but always came back to Bellevue, where they lived for 40 years.
Don was an avid golfer, who golfed several times a week up until the past 2 years. He golfed his age numerous times and had 7 holes in one.
Don lived his life centered around the true virtue of honesty, integrity and love for God and his family. He will be greatly missed, but his spirit lives in his family and friends most dear to him.

A service was held on May 2, 2024 at the Hospice Ormond Beach Chapel.
