Donald L. Johnson passed away on December 22, 2020 in Ormond Beach, FL at the age of 91. Don was born on May 28, 1929 in Medford, WI to Kearney and Sophie Johnson (née Sperl). He married Kathleen Ortlieb on June 10, 1955. They moved to the Milwaukee area in 1962. Don never forgot his family, friends, or memories from Medford. He especially enjoyed his years of stock car racing (4U). Don could figure out how to build, fix, or grow almost anything. His greatest joys were his family and sharing his many skills with others. After retiring from the Communication Electronics Department at St. Luke’s Hospital in Milwaukee, he and Kathleen moved to Florida in 1989, where they enjoyed 23 happy years together. In retirement, they enjoyed dancing and playing cards with their friends. They attended Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church in Port Orange, FL.

Don is preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Kathleen, parents, brother Raymond, and a nephew.

Loving father of Thomas (Tina) and Carol. Cherished grandpa of Samantha, Brian, Kathryn (Adam), and Allison. Beloved brother of Gerald (June), LaVerne, Bonnie, Barbara, and David. Also survived by nieces and nephews.

Thank you to longtime friends Ron and Eli for their prayers, friendship, and coffee.

Private interment at Holy Rosary Cemetery in Medford at a later date.
