Obituary
Donald L Finlayson, WWII Veteran, passed away peacefully at home on August 14, 2017, at the
age of 91.
He was born in Chicago on December 23,1925. He was preceded in death by his parents,
Leslie G Finlayson and Geneva (Bevan). He is survived by his wife Edith (Tremont) of 56 years,
sons Mark and Greg (Geralyn), daughter Joy (Kelly), his seven grandchildren, one great
grandchild, and dear sister Marilyn Mann.
He was a devoted and loving husband and father. He raised his family on a small horse farm in
Wauconda, IL. He found his relaxation at his lake house in Eagle River, WI, where he enjoyed
boating and fishing with his family and friends. Upon retirement from the Coca Cola company of
42 years, he and his wife moved to Oxford, FL with the horses where he also began raising
cattle.
He honorably served his country in WWII for the Army Air Corps as a Tailgunner on a B-25
Bomber.
