Obituary
It is with deep regret to announce the passing of Donald Stuart Parker of Ormond Beach, FL. Don was born in Marathon, NY on May 29, 1932, to Stuart and Sara (Rowe) Parker. He is survived by his wife, Pamela Beaudrie-Parker, his children, Donald Parker, Pamela La Rocca, Brian (Bonnie) Parker, Michael (Lori) Brannan, Larry (Donna) Brannan, and Jeffrey (Cari) Brannan, his grandchildren, Stuart and Patrick Parker, Kasey Barrie and Nicole Bowers, Jeff, Aleah, Emily, Maggie and Adam Brannan, along with many great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews, and his sister, Carolyn Muckey of Marathon. He was predeceased by his brother, David Parker in 2008.
After his graduation from Marathon High School, he enlisted in the U.S. Army 1950-1953. He served in the Korean War and was one of the last twelve survivors of Heartbreak Ridge, where he was the recipient of two Purple Hearts.
Don was an avid bowler and had (3) 300 games credited to his name.
After leaving the service, he worked in Binghamton, NY for the U.S. Postal Service where he retired. He moved to Florida and became a member of the Elks and was later honored with becoming a Past Exalted Ruler, BPOE2193.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Unity Church, 908 Ridgewood Ave, Daytona Beach, FL 32117 on Saturday, January 22, 2022, at 11:30am.
In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to Tunnel to Towers or Second Harvest Food Bank.
