Donald W. Davies, 70, of Oak Hill died Sunday, June 27, 2010 peacefully in his sleep at the Hospice Care Center of Volusia/Flagler. Donald was born February 10, 1940 in Scranton, PA. He was a veteran of the US Army serving from 1958 – 1962. In 1992 he and his wife, Linda moved to Geneva, FL and recently moved to Oak Hill in 2009. Donald’s last employed was with the Department of Transportation retiring after 10 years of service, prior to that he worked for McDonald-Douglas Corp for many years. Donald also worked for Teledyne Brown, Analex Space Systems and Bruswick Corporations. Don enjoyed boating, fishing and the outdoors. If he wasn’t at home you could find Don on the water with a fishing pole in his hand. He was a gentle man who loved wife dearly and enjoyed life.
Donald is survived by his loving wife of 12 years, Linda; sister, Joan Davies of Sarasota; nieces, Susan (Guy) Frearson of Miramar, FL and Emily (Matt) Ollila of Edgewater and numerous great nieces and nephews.
