Obituary
Donna received her angel wings on November 27, 2023, at the age of 93.
She was born in Huntington West Virginia to Lawrence & Bessie Morrison. At a young age she was added to the Madison Trimble family.
Donna was raised in Trotwood Ohio and spent many years in Dayton Ohio where she married Irvin Bowers and raised her four daughters, Vickey, Karen, Cheryl and Sandra.
She worked for Dayton Public Schools as a School Secretary. She was very active in her Salem Avenue Church of God family helping with dinners, bazaars and enjoyed the Christian fellowship. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting and sewing for her daughters. Her creativity was endless.
After Irvin’s passing in 1992, while attending a school reunion, she reunited with her high school classmate, Donald Richards. They were married in 1995 and relocated to Iowa where she blended into the large Richards’ family. She became beloved Donna to sons, daughters, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In Iowa she was active in all church activities including serving as President of the Women’s Fellowship Group and made many lasting friendships. Donna’s giving heart also led her to take a leadership role as a volunteer at a local school. Don and Donna eventually left Iowa and moved to Daytona Beach where they enjoyed sunny Florida.
Once again Donna immersed herself in Oasis Church, where she formed deep and lasting friendships leaving a profound impact on the hearts of those who knew her.
Donna touched so many lives here on earth with her kindness, love and caring for others. She would light up a room with her smile.
She will always be remembered for her great love of family, her beautiful smile and giving big heart.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Irvin, brother Ralph Morrison, sisters Lois Duncan and Helen Ullery and special cousin Dorothy Ford.
Donna leaves to cherish her memory, her devoted husband Don, daughters Vickey Forsee, Karen Clark, Cheryl Bowers (Cheryl Ann) and Sandra Bowers, grandchildren Craig, Kandi, Justin, Siera, Aleyah and Vanessa, great grandchild Ashley, brothers, Rodney (Penny) Trimble, Ray (Connie) Trimble, Ron (Becky) Trimble, nieces, nephews, cousins and her Richards’ family.
She leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter and cherished memories that will forever linger in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing her.
Celebrations of Life will take place in Florida and Ohio in early 2024. May we find comfort in the love and kindness she brought into our lives.
She will always be one of my favorites, and I will miss her forever.
Til we meet again.
