Obituary

Dorothy Lee (Creeden) Bliss, 82, of Kissimmee FL, passed away January 22, 2012 in her sleep after a brief illness.  Born in San Diego, CA she spent most of her life in Northeastern PA where she was a Licensed Practical Nurse.  She retired to Florida but remained an active member of the community.  She was an expert sewer and quilter who donated many of her fine projects to those less fortunate.  She thoroughly enjoyed Christmas and made it very special for everyone.  She enjoyed reading to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  Dorothy loved her pets and was a great supporter of the ASPCA,  public television, and volunteered time at the local soup kitchen. She was preceded in death by her parents Harry G. and Irma Ebert of Nicholson PA, and beloved son Michael K. Creeden of Tunkhannock.  Surviving are daughter Linda Jowett and husband Ed of Chenango Forks, NY; daughter Sandra Pilkonis and husband Ken of Scranton, PA; daughter Shawn Clark and husband Dane of Tunkhannock PA; daughter-in-law Elizabeth Creeden of Lake Carey; daughter Anna Life and husband Jeffry of Las Vegas, NV; son Mark Creeden and wife Debra of Dallas, PA; daughter Mary Redan and husband Jay of Celebration, FL; daughter Angel Desmarais and husband Dan of Manville, RI; and brother Harry (Bud) Ebert and wife Bethel of Sneedville, TN.  She has 20 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.  She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made in her name to the ASPCA online at www.aspca.org/Donate or to your local food bank. Family services will be held up north.

Dear Family, I am so sorry about the death of your dear loved one. May you find comfort from the Bible's promise of a resurrection in John 5: 28 and 29. Also, may you find comfort in the fact that God promises to make our earth a peaceful place to live. Revelation 21:3 and 4 says that death, pain, and sorrow will be done away with. How our loved ones, as well as us look forward to that day soon to come.
