Obituary
Dorothy Mae Nash was born on November 1, 1941 to the late Charles Henry and the late Hazel Jones in Thomasville, GA. She attended Booker T. Washington Senior Hight School in Miami, FL. She worked in medical records for Jackson Memorial Hospital, as a CNA worker and as an adult group home caregiver.
She was a member of Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church and served on the Ushers Ministry. She was also Eastern Star and also participated in the Neighborhood Clean Up to restore Mercy Drive sidewalk, bus stops and ditches. Her favorite hobbies included traveling, crocheting, fishing, shopping, diving, cooking and baking.
She is preceded in death by her brother, Charles Henry Jones and her sister, Mary Alice Jones.
She leaves to cherish her memory: Three daughters, Valerie Jones Sapp (Atlanta, GA), Serita Hall and Yolanda Nash (both of Orlando, FL) and one son, Derrick Hall (Miami, FL ). Three Sisters, Gloria Jones, Tammy Jones and Sharon Jones, all of Thomasville, GA. Thirteen grandchildren, Moneek Ezell, Winfred Ezell, Jabril Ezell, Walter Phillips, Jr., Nicole Phillips, Shiboney Hall, Derrick Hall, Jr., Britany Campbell, Chastin Nash, Dewon Flores, Dytia Flores, Dondria Flores, Ketara Hall; and a host of nieces, nephews and family members and friends.
A public visitation will be held at Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church, 412 E. Kennedy Blvd. Eatonville, FL 32794 on Friday, April 21, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM; followed by a funeral service, on Saturday, April 22 at 12:00 PM.
