Obituary
Duane Michael Anglavar of Fort Myers, Florida, passed away on November 16, 2024. Duane was born on May 25, 1938 in La Salle, Illinois. He was the son of Michael and Virginia Anglavar. He married Sharon (Buffo) Anglavar in Spring Valley, Illinois on February 16, 1963.
Duane graduated from La Salle Peru High School and Northern Illinois University with a degree in accounting. Duane began his career in the accounting department with the Westclox Manufacturing Company, eventually becoming Corporate Controller. He left Westclox to accept a position as Senior Vice President (President) and corporate controller for the McGregor Golf Company, then owned by golfing legends Jack Nicklaus. In that capacity, he traveled the world representing his company’s interests. He and Sharon spent many memorable years as a guest of McGregor and Mr. Nicklaus at the Masters Golf Tournament in Augusta, Georgia. Duane and Sharon loved to play golf, cruise and vacation in Las Vegas. He will be missed by family and friends.
