Earl. I remember so many good times with you and all our friends from DeVilbiss High School. We had so many good times and memories. I remember you and Calvin picking us up after school and taking each and everyone of us home. I remember picnics, swimming parties, home parties, weddings. I am so glad you and Winnie had so many good years together. I remember some of the times you and Winnie coming back to Toledo and our whole gang getting together. You will be missed, but many people will always be thinking of you.

I will miss your sweet smile, twinkle in your eyes, your quick wit, sense of humor, my kiss and your daily account of how Winnie has been abusing you. I won't miss seeing you in the pain that you have endured for such a long time.
You have enriched many lives with your kindness and caring.
    Rest in peace, my friend.

Earl was one of the good guys of this world. He didn't always have to say a lot but just being around him made you feel good. His kindness was contagious. And he had a sense of humor to match. I once asked him about his football playing days and he said he enjoyed it but always felt bad when he hit someone on a play. That was my dad. Always concerned about the other guy. I am proud to be the grandson of Carl "Poncho" McILvain and the nephew of Robert McILvain and feel very fortunate and extremely proud to be the son of Earl Robert McILvain. They are together now along with Gussie and Sue.

I love you dad and always will.

    Terry Roberts "Mac" McILvain
