Obituary
Earle Stanley Clewell Jr., 87, of Ocala Florida, passed away on April 6, 2024, in Ocala Florida. He was born in Bethlehem, PA, to the late Earle S Clewell Sr. and Dorothy M. (Moser) Clewell. Earle cherished spending time with family and friends and was an active, athletic, and adventurous individual. Earle dedicated three years of his life to the US Army from 1954 to 1957 as an amphibious watercraft driver.
After his military service, Earle pursued a career as a Printing Technician in the steel industry. In his free time, he enjoyed a variety of passions including long distance cycling, marathon running, scuba diving, rock climbing, hiking, kayaking, and woodworking. He was a graduate of Liberty High School in Bethlehem, PA.
Earle will be deeply missed and is survived by his son Edward Clewell, daughter Sandra Funk, loving partner Helen Banfield along with her daughter Neila, grandson Alex Clewell and granddaughter Amanda Clewell. He is preceded in death by his brothers Neil and James.
In lieu of flowers, charitable donations can be made to Hospice of Marion County c/o Cates House. The funeral arrangements are being handled by Baldwin Brothers in Ocala Florida.
Rest in peace, Earle Stanley Clewell Jr. Your dedication to your family, friends, country, career, and passions will always be remembered by those who knew and loved you. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.








I'm sorry to hear of Earles passing. I hadn't thought of Earle in a long time. Thoughts of him just popped into my head so I looked him up. I ran with Earle many years ago, maybe at lehigh parkway and out of the Broken Spoke bike shop in Allentown.
He was such a genuinely nice guy, always had a smile and very humble. Too bad I didn't know he lived in retirement in Ocala, as I'm in Florida. RIP Earle, and my sincere condolences. Greg Yatko
