Obituary
Edith “Edie” Ann McCain, age 70, passed away peacefully on January 21,2018 surrounded by her loved ones at Halifax Health Medical Center in Daytona Beach, Florida.
Edie was born May 6, 1947 in Vandalia, Illinois to Alpha and June (Peyton) Morgan. When she was young, her family moved to St. James, Missouri and that is where she spent her younger years.
Edie had a variety of jobs throughout her life including police dispatcher and factory worker but her most beloved job was that of being a mother, grandmother, and aunt. Edie loved her three sons, three grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews fiercely.
She was not just a mother and grandma though, Edie had an adventurous side to her that drew people in. She loved to ride Harley’s with her partner, Blaine, and travel whenever she could. She loved life and it was evident to all of those around her.
Edie is survived by her spouse Blaine Rudy of Edgewater, FL; son Paul Claus and wife Pam of Thompson Station, TN; son Steve Adams and partner Laura Eastes of Indianapolis, IN; granddaughter Kayla Claus; grandson Zack Claus; grandson Steven Adams; and sisters Carol Dye, Virginia Connor, and Vicky Morgan. She is preceded in death by son Mark Claus, parents Alpha and June Morgan, and sister Joan Jones.
